GLOBAL CAREER SERIES
Connect with Global Opportunities
Based out of Georgia State University, the Global Career Series provides an opportunity for attendees to learn about global organizations, ask questions, and have informal discussions with organization representatives about career and internship opportunities. In addition to the Atlanta Global Studies Center, this collaborative endeavor is supported by Andrew Young School of Policy Studies and the Center for Urban Language Teaching and Research (CULTR).
Established in 2018, the Atlanta Global Studies Center is a partnership between the Georgia Institute of Technology and Georgia State. AGSC’s mission is to enhance access to advanced language learning and deepen knowledge of global and intercultural issues for the benefit of Atlanta region students, faculty, and the public. A National Resource Center and a Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship program, AGSC is funded by a Title VI grant from the U.S. Department of Education. The interdisciplinary center supports research, curriculum enhancement, and student and faculty professional development in global studies and language learning with collaborations across Emory University, Spelman College, and the University of Georgia. The center also promotes public events and K-12 and community outreach in partnership with a range of stakeholders, including the Atlanta UN-RCE (Regional Center of Expertise), the Georgia Department of Education World Languages and Global Workforce Initiatives, the Georgia Tech Center for Serve Learn Sustain, CULTR, the World Affairs Council of Atlanta, and the Georgia Tech and Georgia State Centers for International Business and Research (CIBER).
