The STARTALK mission is to expand the learning, speaking, and teaching of critical U.S. need languages.

In this accelerated two-week program offered in the mornings, attending students will develop language proficiency as they learn about the people who speak the language and the communities in which they interact in the U.S. and the world. Furthermore, students will learn about and get to know people from their target language cultures through written narratives, technology mediums, and face-to-face interactions. Contextualized stories will allow students to encounter representative citizens from the target language in a variety of cultural settings in countries where the language is spoken, in cultural communities in the United States, and local groups in Atlanta.
